An authentic old shield / wooden armor, Sea Dayak. Hand carved and hand painted from medium hard wood. Tied motifs of anthropomorphic Dayak warrior in his loincloth, Aso and Tree Of Life pattern.

Description

Wooden Armor / Terabai shield. The entire shield including it’s handle were carved from one piece of wood. Paints are still good, slight chipped at the bottom end but otherwise this is a spectacular old wooden armor. Circa 1960. Dayak tribe, Borneo.

Origin: Betong, Sarawak Borneo.
