CEREMONIAL POLE (680-760mm) THREE Ritual Stick Cane Totem Statue Tuntun Tribal Borneo


Original set of three, ritualistic Tuntun pole / Shaman trap for hunting, hardwood. Three figurines decorate each top/handle, an ancestral spirit, Rhinoceros Hornbill and Orang Utan amongst Tree Of Life. Circa 1950. Such tuntun were used to stunt any wild boar crossing the tuntun’s path in bygone days.

CEREMONIAL POLE / Borneo Tuntun, ritual sticks during hunting. Of the set of three, 2 were used extensively by burying into soil, whereas the pole furthest right were used as a cane by it’s owner and it proves to be quite a small man(5 foot 3 estimate) after measuring the cane. Each of these Dayak ceremonial pole are in original antique condition, some hairline due to old age but otherwise these are beautiful pieces to add to your tribal collection.
