A large authentic pair of old shield / wooden armor, Sea Dayak. Hand painted from medium hard wood. Anthropomorphism, Aso Naga and Tree Of Life on one shield, whereas the other shield beautifully painted Rhinoceros Hornbill amongst dense Creeper Vine / Buah Berinjan artpiece.

Painted Armor / Terabai shield. Both shields including the handles were carved from one piece of wood. Paints are still good, spectacular old Dayak painted armor. Circa 1960. Dayak tribe, Borneo.

Origin: Betong, Sarawak Borneo.
