Antique authentic Patung Penunggu Serawai Dayak ritual pole, consisting at the top a human offering, his arm amputated as offering whereas the bottom another Dayak man offering prayers. These are different from Family Effigy figurine, they are not representation of the family members but Penunggu Patungs were placed at the edge of the jungle in calling back the hunters for a save journey home.

The entire pillar pole is carved from one single piece of Belian / Iron / Billionwood. World’s hardest wood, will withstand any weather condition including termite resistance. Circa 1930. Gorgeous primitive statue!
